Annie Melik is a Cuban American artist with 18 years of professional work experience in Art Business. She has worked with many commercial clients and art collectors, producing custom art pieces with exciting results for her clients and collectors. She has experience as an Art Teacher and often offers workshops and masterclasses.
Her artwork has been displayed in over 50 art exhibitions. She has painted multiple murals: 2 placements instalations in First Baptist Church Fort Lauderdale, FL, 5 murals for Bali Bay Resorts and 2 murals for Willow Bay Resorts, Myrtle Beach, SC, and 2 murals at Cuba Bar Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Most of her paintings are in private collections in America, Spain, and Cuba.
Through her art, Annie Melik strives to capture emotions in the landscapes that she paints, en plein air and in studio.
Annie Melik paintings are centered around the impression and significance of light that falls on the landscape and the contrast of her vibrant color palette. She transitions between traditional Landscape Realism and Magic Realism.
In addition to her natural talent, she spent 8 years of training in the Fine Arts School of Cuba and studied painting and drawing under famous masters of the Academy in Cuba at the Professional Academy of Fine Arts El Alba (Cuba, 2005). She graduated BFA from the University of Arts in Cuba
(Cuba, 2013).
She currently has a permanent residence in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and is a member of the Seacoast Art Guild. Her original paintings are on exhibition at Art and Frame Gallery.
