Evelyn Altman was a lifelong artist who studied under Carlos Lopez of the Detroit Art Academy and under John Gutmann, professor of advanced painting at San Francisco State University. Evelyn has exhibited in the Detroit Art Institute, Millbrae Library as well as several banks and title companies in the San Francisco Peninsula California. She also had a one woman show of 20 paintings in the Spanish Town Gallery of Half Moon Bay California. Also, Evelyn has poetry published in the Detroit News and she has published the words and music for three songs.
