Fine Art Photography
Ivo Kerssemakers is a Dutch American photographer who grew up in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, live in Tennessee, NY and West Virginia, and is currently based in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Kerssemakers uses long exposure to create large-format landscape and cityscape photographs devoid of people or movement. This stillness allows the viewer to experience extraordinary natural and historic environments without the distraction or other visual noise. Kerssemakers’ long exposure technique transforms iconte natural and city landscapes into contemplative surrealist worlds untouched by humans. Using a large-format printer, Kerssemakers creates archival works on canvas and fiber fine art paper, specializing in large scale prints. He prioritizes using the highest quality, archival materials for printing and framing, ensuring the art work will last for generations. Our solid wood frames are used to display prints on fine art paper, finished with a museum grade 8 ply cotton mat and museum glass for amazing clarity, virtually eliminating reflections. Canvas prints are coated with a UV protection layer and stretched on a solid poplar or tulip wood stretcher. An optional floating frame will make the canvas stand out, these are available from low profile solid wood frames up to high-end brand name frames.
